8.  Sports and games are very important for us.  They keep us healthy and fit.  They give us energy and strength.  Sports and games are means of mental and physical growth.

9.  During sports we come to learn many things.  Sports develop a sense of friendliness.  They develop in us team spirit.

10.  Sports are integral part of education.  Education without sports is incomplete.  Keeping their value in life, children are taught some sorts of games in the very early stage in school.  These days’ sports are a part of academic curriculum.

11.  In primary level through various competitions of games and sports children are motivated by the winners.  All children will enjoy and learn to play games and understand the techniques to win them.  This will develop habit of caring, sharing, tolerance and co-operation.

12.  Now as per common minimum programme (CMP) every Kendriya Vidyalaya conducted mini sports day specially for primary children.  Success in games and sports one planning must be necessary also.  As CMP targets a mass participation of students every child was given opportunity to take part.

13. Through games and sports children are encouraged to develop team spirit and friendship. By rewarding the achievers we can boost up the confidence of other children.
