3 Field Consultation Associate Acting as a member of the Consultation Solutions treatment team, Field Consultation Associates (FCAs) work directly with individuals and their families to provide mobile treatment, guidance, and instruction in the home and community settings.

4 Individuals We Support (IWS) We provide services to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and other developmental disorders. Occasionally, cases will involve work with adult Individuals Supported.

5 Typical Week Cases are assigned by the consultation supervisor and director In home services are provided Monday-Friday and during some weekends. Assigned cases range between 12 and 26 hours per week- additional hours are completed in other departments Staff are required to keep track of their hours and make sure they are reaching 40 hours per week. If you are not, work with the supervisor, director and Scheduling Coordinators to schedule in other programs. If covering for education consultation an email will be sent to you the night before or a phone call the morning of the scheduled shift. Staff will be notified about 24 hours in advance if they are covering for Healthcare Solutions. Office day shift occurs once per week and begins at 8am

8 Paid Time Off All new employees have a 6 month probation period before they are eligible for vacation Sick time and personal time is given based on day of hire for the first fiscal year. Following 7 days (56hrs) of sick and 2 days (16hrs) personal is given. Refer to employee handbook for amount of initial hours. Vacation time is accrued based on regular hours worked (on your pay stub) Time off requests are found on the Buzz and should be completed 30 days prior to requested day. Print the form before submitting and give to the supervisor.

9 Callouts Call supervisor at least 3 hours prior to your shift (pref. earlier) Identify if you will be making up the hours this week or if PTO will be used Parent Cancellations Provide family with business card noting supervisor and directors phone number and have the parents contact the supervisor for cancellations Do not provide your cell phone number to parents

10 Mileage Reimbursement Mileage reimbursement forms can be found on the Buzz Must me fully completed for reimbursement Should be submitted to your supervisor the Monday of the following week www.onebancroft.org Hard copies are located in your supervisor’s office.

11 Paperwork Data Collection- individualized data based on treatment and behavior plan developed to track progress of individual supported. Billing (for each shift) CoCentrix : Integrated online billing service. Additional onsite training is required. Employee Accident form Internal Reports Unusual Incident Reports **Training for these provided on other presentation**

12 Intensive In-Home Cases Typically 12 hours per week (note: these hours do not include drive time. However, the length of time it takes to get to a destination is counted towards your weekly accrual) A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for the clinical aspects of the case. This includes assessment, behavior plan development, training, and any modifications.

13 Your Role in IIH Cases Implement the behavior support plan/treatment plan as trained by the behavior analyst Maintain the child’s safety in the home Develop a professional and collaborative relationship with the child’s family Track behavior data as needed Provide objective clinical input based on your observations

14 Individual Support Service Cases No behavior analyst Typically 10 hours per week Assist in developing positive behavior intervention and teaching daily living skills

15 Your Role in ISS Cases Develop the child’s treatment plan based on behavioral and skill acquisition needs Input the treatment plan into CYBER Update Progress note each week in CYBER Maintain the child’s safety in the home using Safe and Positive Approaches (SPA Techniques) Develop a professional and collaborative relationship with the child’s family Track behavior data as needed Provide training to parents

16 Health Care Solutions Cases Hours vary based on need of hospital or healthcare facility. May possibly replace case load for week. A board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for the clinical aspects of the case. This includes assessment, behavior plan development, training, and any modifications.

17 Your Role in Health Care Solutions Cases Implement the behavior support plan/treatment plan as trained by the behavior analyst Maintain the child’s safety in the healthcare facility Develop a professional and collaborative relationship with the child’s family and medical staff Track behavior data as needed Provide objective clinical input based on your observations
