FAMIS Work Orders Why is it important to ACCURATELY track your time with work orders? Billing to other departments (Housing, Student Center, etc.) Creates a data point for hours spent on: Equipment moves Furniture moves Capital project work Snow removal Etc. Which in turn will help us analyze where time is being spent and help with position funding in the future. WE DO NOT USE WORK ORDERS TO TRACK YOU THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

Concerns/Solutions Concerns: Campus departments do not follow the chain of command when submitting concerns. Lack of understanding on the many responsibilities each FS member has (high sq. footage & lack of staff). Lack of set standards to follow/understand. Beautification Committee focus Possible Solutions Put more emphasis on using the FAMIS Self-Service- easy to follow guide. Do not complete work until you have received a work order. Provide FS information during welcome week, building fact sheet, “town hall” meeting. Refocus the Beautification Committee. Develop and publish FS standards Analyze square footage to staff ratio.
15
Completed Projects Lighting: Installed 7 fixtures along Viking Drive and one in the back alley. Field House Accreditation: Wick completed this project over break. Painting was done, and carpet and shelving was installed. Student Center Kitchen Ceiling: Wick completed this project over break. The lighting in the area has been greatly improved! Theatre 320: Light fixtures were installed by PH staff during the last week of break.
