Ovaries: female reproductive glands that store & release eggs. Also produce estrogen, a hormone that regulates female sexual development.

Uterus: is a pear shaped organ. A fertilized egg becomes implanted here & the developing child is nourished.

Fallopian Tube: from the ovaries, eggs travel down the fallopian tube to the uterus. Fertilization takes place in the fallopian tube.

Cervix: the opening at the bottom of the uterus.

Vagina: muscular passageway leading from the uterus to the outside of the body.

Endometrium: lining of the uterus.

Bladder: where urine is stored.

Urethra: small tube that runs from the bladder along the length of the penis. Both urine & semen, at different times, flow out of the body through the urethra.

Penis: external sexual organ.

Prostate Gland: produces fluid to help sperm move & survive longer.

Epididymis: a network of tubes located behind the testes. Sperm are temporarily stored here.

Testicles: (testes) egg shaped glands that produce sperm. The testes make testosterone, the male sexual development hormone.

Scrotum: pouch that contains the testes.
