Friends - handling disagreements Jesus’ way

Matthew 18:15 “If a fellow believer hurts you, go and tell him - work it out between the two of you. If he listens, you've made a friend.” Step 1 - I need to talk to them

Matthew 18:16 “If he won't listen, take one or two others along so that the presence of witnesses will keep things honest, and try again.” Step 2 - Take a witness

Matthew 18:17 “If he refuses to listen to them, report the matter to the church.” Step 3 - Take it to the church

1 Corinthians 6:1 When one of you has a complaint against another, do you take your complaint to a court of sinners? Or do you take it to God's people?...Aren't any of you wise enough to act as a judge between one follower and another?

Step 4 - Separate the rebellious Matthew 18:17 “Anyone who refuses to listen to the church must be treated like an unbeliever or a tax collector.”

1 Corinthians 5:9 I have written to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a believer but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a person do not even eat.

If someone wrongs me: Step 1 - I need to talk to them. Step 2 - Take a witness. Step 3 - Take it to the church. Step 4 - Separate the rebellious.

The parable of the unmerciful servant Matthew 18:21 Peter came up to Jesus and asked, "How many times should I forgive someone who does something wrong to me? Is seven times enough?" Jesus answered: “Not just seven times, but seventy-seven times!”

The parable of the unmerciful servant Matthew 18:34 The employer was so angry that he ordered the man to be tortured until he could pay back everything he owed. Matthew 18:35 “That is how my Father in heaven will treat you, if you don't forgive each other with all your heart.”

The parable of the unmerciful servant Ephesians 4:31 Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

Forgiveness in marriage Matthew 19:3 "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"

Forgiveness in marriage Matthew 19:4 “‘A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'?” ‘United’ uses the Greek word kollao - to glue together, to cleave
