3. Weston Ranch Organization Committee (WROC)   On April 19, 2004, Councilmember Nomura, Mayor Elect Chavez and City Staff addressed concerns of the area.   Vestar provided information on the proposed power center, located on the Northwest quadrant of I-5 and French Camp

4. Weston Ranch Organization Committee (WROC)   Parks and Recreation held activities at Donald T. Egusa Gym next to August Knodt School: Adult and Youth basketball league; youth basketball camp, open volleyball nights and dance classes   National Night Out held at Paul Weston Park was well attended.

7. Airport Way – South of Charter Way   ACT Neighborhood Service Center subcommittee will be making a recommendation to the City Council regarding the site of the Center. William Brotherhood Park (near Garfield School @ Sixth & Anne Streets)   Next Step: Assess needed services and activities for the Center. Draft a work plan detailing funding and timeline for design/construction of Center.

8. Grant Street Area   Planning a Street Fair around the Sikh Temple to share their culture with the neighborhood  Exploring a basketball program at Grant Village by utilizing their basketball court.  Program will be open to children in the neighborhood.

10. Grant Street Area  Members from the Sikh Temple and residents of Grant Village worked together to host National Night Out

11. Farmington Apartments   Concerns identified Lack of recreation opportunity in the area Vehicles parked on Farmington Road blocks view when pedestrian and vehicles exit the apartment.  Meeting took place at Montezuma School on June 17, 2004

12. Farmington Apartments   Actions Taken The Mobile Recreation Program is located at the Farmington South Apartments on Wednesdays 10:00 am to 1:00 pm  “No Parking” or red curbs will be painted on both the east and west sides of the apartment driveway due to safety issues.

13. East Main Business Alliance   Chaired by Councilmember Giovanetti   Business Watch 2 business surveys conducted offering security tips and 3 additional surveys scheduled All will receive Business Watch sign to post.

14. Columbus Park Neighborhood   Concerns Drug activity and alcoholic consumption taking place at the park High volume of traffic around Hazelton Elementary Lack of recreation opportunity in the area   Actions Taken Police, CalTrans and the Railroad combined efforts to remove homeless camps Police cited numerous individuals conducting illegal activity and increased checks at the park

15. Columbus Park Neighborhood   Survey of traffic at Harrison/Worth showed stop sign not justified based on Traffic volume Accident history Site visibility   Parks and Recreation obtaining bids to install a Basketball court and fence separating railroad tracks and the park.

16. Columbus Park Neighborhood  Mobile Recreation Program operates every Monday from 10:00 am to 12 noon at this location. Attendance ranged from 8 to 25 children per visit. 17. Twin Creeks   City Staff along with Councilmember Bestolarides met with the Twin Creeks Neighborhood Association on April 21, 2004.   Interested in participating in Make a Difference Day. Staff working with the neighborhood association to identify a project in the area.

18. Stanfield Neighborhood   Concerns Identified Vehicles speeding in the area Scooters Loitering at night   Actions taken to date Area slated for Neighborhood Traffic Management Program in Early 2005 Police addressing issues related to the loitering in the area

Other NAT Projects   Mobile Recreation Program at: Diamond Cove Town Homes/Carrington Circle – Fridays 1-4 pm averaging 20 children Eden Park – Mondays 1-4 pm averaging 15 participants Town House Pacific Apartments /Manchester – Tuesday 10 am to 1 pm averaging 17 children   Meeting held with the McKinley School Parents group Desire Pedestrian Control Device on El Dorado
