Aldeasoña VdlT Castilla y León Did not take Ribera del Duero designation because wanted to source grapes from several pre-phylloxera sites outside of the DO 100% Tempranillo (called Tinta del País locally) Ungrafted, pre-phylloxera vines over 95 years old 23 months new French oak Dried plum, fig, black currant, coffee and licorice. A silky mouth-feel with firm, fine tannins coupled with lively acidity and a long finish. 2005: 93 WA
