5 BACKGROUND The articles deal with several social issues Some were produced following a personal initiative and other were requested by partners Alert and question leaders and decision makers, inform the public about dangers that watch out the population in order to change general behavior Example of improved situation: case of FRAM (teachers paid by children’s parents) teachers’ payment, thanks to the affluence of legislative women candidates 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

6 OBJECTIVES -Inform decision-makers on the fundamental needs of the population that deserve to be satisfied - Encourage leaders to use stories as a tool of decision for the development of national policies and strategies - Raise the awareness of leaders on the various fundamental rights they must respect and remind them that every citizen should live in dignity. 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA

7 TARGET AUDIENCE - Without discrimination (decision-makers, development actors, project beneficiaries, donors and partners) - Observe, inform, communicate and educate. The journalist is the spokesperson of all parties including the voiceless. 8 PROCESS/METHODOLOGY -Field descent, documentation, research on Internet to explore websites, trainings and press conferences, telephone calls -Some information were not revealed especially those from public sectors. -Prioritize freedom of expression (valid for sources) and value the opinion of each source. 10 FOLLOW UP Complicated mission: -Depends on media managers who give more importance to fresh news -Responsible from public services can give more information but are reluctant when journalists come to demand information - For subjects concerning international days, we must wait until next year to extract new information. 50/50 BY 2015: DEMANDING A STRONG POST 2015 AGENDA
