Project description The idea behind the Sport Park is to concentrate a set of specialized services at one place and to create an infrastructure that would provide a full spectrum of tools to do business in the field of sports, active leisure and entertainment. The objective of the Sport Park is to promote healthy lifestyle and involve the public at large in physical culture and sports. Sport Park creates an environment for:  year-round sport activities and active leisure.  efficient organizational structure and framework for competitions in various sports at different levels (national, European, world).  promotion of healthy lifestyle, achievements in various sports, creation of sports clubs.

4. Rationale behind the project Factors that contribute to efficient development of the Sport Park:  Distance to the EU borders -- 40 km;  Location in one of the biggest city districts ;  Current deficit of sports and fitness centers, sports facilities and insufficient active leisure possibilities for residents of the city;  About 100 sports, athletic and entertainment events with about 1 million of attendants and more than 7,000 participants annually.  Sport Park stadium and arenas are capable of holding concerts, presentations, exhibitions, fairs, etc. simultaneously.  Lack of similar facilities in Ukraine;  The site can be used as a training base for national teams from various countries (in 1984-91 local sports and technical club was one of the training bases for USSR national teams) ;

Progress of the project  Land use and design documentation have been developed.  Chernivtsi City Council Decision No. 192/4 “On granting permission to construct a set of Sport Park facilities” is available.  Initial phase of Sport Park construction has been completed – motocross and autocross tracks and motor track site are operational.  Motocross track is the only track in Ukraine homologated by FIM to host the World Championship events.

Проект предполагает создание инфраструктуры: Active and sports leisure:  Play grounds (badminton, volleyball, basketball, tennis, etc.);  Track and field, jogging (ski), cycling tracks - “Trail of Health":  Wellness areas with a set of sport (athletic) equipment;  Trails for quad bikes and buggy;  Gyms;  Facilities for sports and cultural events; Sport facilities and tracks:  Sports arena and concert hall;  Ice arena;  pool;  Tracks for speedway and motoball, karting, supermoto and moto freestyle;  Motocross and autocross track;  ВМХ track;  Track for auto and moto parallel races.  Facilities for sports clubs (sections), technical services; Infrastructure for services sector: hotel, office center, cafes, restaurants, car/moto/cycling service, recreation and rehabilitation center, grand stands (premises under the grand stands for services sector)
