2 The 13 Colonies Colonists built settlements that became the 13 colonies British tried to take more control of the colonists Tensions in the American colonies ran very high The colonists hoped to grow rich

3 Information About Maryland
Maryland was a Southern Colony. The Southern Colonies there was Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.The geography for Maryland was coastal plains, peidmont plateau, and the Blue Ridge, separated by Chesapeake Bay. The climate was war climate made it possible to grow crops through out the year and was ideally suited for plantations. the economic activity was crops were traded for items that could not be produced including shoes, laces, tread, farm tools and dishes.

4 Why Was Maryland Established?
The reason it was founded for Queen Henrietta Maria of England.There was different types of peoples there were Anglicans, English plantation owners, indentured servants, and slaves.

5 About Maryland The 4th colony Was founded on 1633 Lord Baltimore founded Maryland Maryland was named after Queen Henrietta Maria of England The early leaders were Lord Baltimore, and others at Baltimore

6 BASIC INFO Lord Baltimore established the colony of Maryland from his home in England, and as a Roman Catholic, promoted religious tolerance in the colony. Became a state in April 28, 1788.
