2 Map #1: 9 Year Old from Argentina Caption: As the World Turns This child is trying to convey the notions that the world is becoming more divided and turning against itself. The world is crying as it watches cultures and regions grow farther apart, and the sun is beginning to set on various areas.

3 Map #2: 14 Year-Old from Australia Caption: Show Your Stripes This child demonstrates the immense level of diversity within the world. A wonderful representation of all that comprises the world we live in. Also, provides an interesting perspective, placing Australia and Asia at the center of the map.

4 Map # 3: 11 Year Old from Austria Caption: To Each His Own This child is trying to exhibit the diversity within the world, illustrating the specific characteristics indigenous to each region. The diversity takes on a variety of forms from animals, to structures, to activities.

5 Map # 4: 12 Year Old from Azerbaijan Caption: Miracle Vaccine This child illustrates the need for peace in a world full of conflict. War is contagious, and this map depicts how widespread it has become in this day and age. This child conveys a hope for an end to the conflict.

6 Map # 5: 11 Year Old from Brazil Caption: Free Bird This child uses the symbolism of a dove to illustrate peace within the world. The bird conveys the notion that all of these regions, countries, and continents are part of one entity. All of these are pieces of one whole that, when in harmony, operate as one organic whole.

7 Map # 6: 10 Year Old from Bulgaria Caption: Deep Cleaning This child attempts to elucidate the need for a deep clean of the world. While there is much work to be done, and a lot of trash to pick up, the artist conveys the notion that it can be completed as a result of a collaborative effort. Again, the them is diversity, illustrated both in the portrayal of the regions, as well as amongst those who need to participate in the clean-up efforts.

8 Map # 7: 13 Year Old from Czech Republic Caption: A True Cosmopolitan This child demonstrates the necessity of diversity within this world. While each nation/continent is meant to represent a different flavor, this map illustrates how they all come together and complement one another to make a single entity.

9 Map # 8: 11 Year Old from Germany Caption: All for One This child aims to portray the cultures representing various parts of the world as guardians of a larger whole. While there may be individuals from sizes, colors, and walks of life, they share many things in common, and when working collaboratively can preserve the world they live in.

10 Map # 9: 12 Year Old from Greece Caption: Bridge the Gaps This child illustrates the interconnection between the vast array of land that comprises the earth. Each continent has particular people, places, species which are indigenous to the region, but they are all connected, come together to make one unified whole.

11 Map # 10: 11 Year Old from the Phillipines Caption: One Love This child elucidates the interconnection between peace, love, and unity. These concepts go hand in hand, and so must the nations comprising the world, characterized by the people inhabiting the planet. Similar to putting together the pieces of a puzzle, individuals must join forces to create peace, love, and unity.
