Challenges facing businesses today  Increased reliance on technology  Difficulty attracting & retaining qualified technical staff  Full-time internal IT staff is expensive  Internal staff handling multiple job codes including IT  Network failures take too long to get fixed  Downtime distracts staff from core focus  Downtime cost the company money due to loss of revenue

5 © 2004 Primetime, Inc. All rights reserved. Downtime Calculator What is the cost of downtime? Percentage of the company dependant on corporate network = 70%  Average Small to Medium-sized Business revenue = 4 Million  2080 work hours per year Thus –Revenue / Yearly work hours * % dependant on network = downtime cost Example 4M/ 2080 *.70 = $1,346  30% productivity  cost of downtime per hour = $1,346 NETWORK DOWNTIME IS UNACCEPTABLE BY TODAY’S STANDARDS

Example: PowerGroup Benefits - Firewall Failure  The Firewall fails Saturday morning  Company web applications unavailable to clients all weekend  Company emails were bounced all weekend  The owner finds the failure 9:00 Monday morning  PowerGroup Benefits calls for a technician immediately after in-house troubleshooting  A technician arrives late that morning  Hardware failure required Priority overnight shipment of parts  The technician is able to restore services by late Tuesday morning  Total Impact: 3 days

7 © 2004 Primetime, Inc. All rights reserved. The Current Situation  Difficult to predict when failures will occur  No idea of when failures will be fixed  No priority in the service queue  Technicians often require multiple trips to resolve issues due to a lack of information  Productivity suffers during network failure  Billing is incurred at full rate Problems take longer to resolve and, as a result, cost more!

8 © 2004 Primetime, Inc. All rights reserved. NetWatchIT Support - Save time and money  Reduce mean time to resolution  We’ll know as soon as a failure occurs and most often it’s before the client knows they have a problem  Priority over non-contractual customers  Reduced hourly rates  Technician has background knowledge to fix the problem on the first call

12 Summary  Catastrophic System Failures can devastate small and medium- sized businesses.  The old, unacceptable method of dealing with CSF was recovery.  Recovery is reactive, too late, and costly.  Prevention is proactive and less costly for business.  Prevention is cheaper than recovery in the long run for your clients as well.  You now have the proper tools to specialize in CSFP!

13 © 2004 Primetime, Inc. All rights reserved. You can’t you afford not to -  If you are frustrated by:  Emergency service calls  Decreased productivity  Lack of sufficient data to make informed decisions  The inability to perform capacity planning  The inability to measure network performance  Do you want to minimize the cost to repair as well as the cost of lost productivity due to Network failures by:  Immediate detection  Technicians immediately work to resolve the issue  Priority position in the service queue  Discounted onsite and remote service rates You may never know there was a failure!

14 © 2004 Primetime, Inc. All rights reserved. CompuTech Business Solutions as a Partner CompuTech specializes in Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) networks. Generally, SMB networks are proprietary or unique when compared with any other network. Our forte is understanding all the different and unique SMB networks we come in contact with. One major deterrent of switching from a current, inadequate network firm is the fear of the new company, although better in many ways, “not understanding the network.” This is what we specialize in. Software and the code it’s written in is generally the reason for the uniqueness of your network and CompuTech is professionally capable of not only understanding and monitoring it, but improving it as well.
