He traversed the bend in the road at approx 30 mph, with the permitted speed of vehicles on the road being 50 mph. The road conditions were wet and as he came out of the corner, the rear end of the vehicle slid and he travelled across the opposite carriage way and ended up in the ditch. The driver escaped with just bruises yet could have been far worse. A full investigation into what happened and why is being undertaken.
