Journal – Look at the map on p. 6. What river runs through the Mississippian, Adena, and Hopewell culture areas?

7 Day – 7 Date – 9//10 Activity – Review p. 29, finish reading section 2, complete p. 30 in workbook HW Assignment – Read and study pages 31 & 32 in the workbook, then look at the estimated population and tell the story of why it fluctuated (changed) so much. Objective – – Identify the obstacles facing the first English settlers in North America, and the factors that helped Jamestown flourish, contrast English and Spanish patterns of conquest, and describe the economic and social inequities that triggered Bacon’s rebellion. Journal – What was one reason Nathaniel Bacon marched on Jamestown?
