Purpose To influence employers’ CSR policies to include development and practice in operations in the developing world and integrate with bargaining agendas so that Prospect branches can identify and achieve their own practical outcomes Output 1 Wider awareness raising to Prospect membership and staff to ensure sustainability of development issues by development being mainstreamed into Prospects’ support and training programmes. Target – output 1 Increase in members joining the ID network with an increase of motions on development to delegate conferences. 12 active development sectoral champions and development training on national training programme. Output 2 Workplace engagement whereby employers and employees engage around how they might contribute to development. Target – output 2 3 employers adjust their CSR policies to include MDG driven activities either directly in their own operations and/or indirectly through their supply chains. Output 3 Branch engagement whereby Prospect branches add development to their bargaining agenda and identify and initiate development projects, according to expertise, in the developing world. Target – output 3 30 branches adopt the trade union model of CSR that includes development. 3 branches practically engaged with developing world projects. What is the BID project?
