A QUICK REMINDER: Make sure all water breaks, bathroom breaks, pencil sharpening, backpack cleaning, etc… are done BEFORE the bell rings. Do not get out of your seat without permission. If you are eating, put it away or throw it away. Do NOT shoot trash into the trash can. Be ready to work and stay on task.

Assignment Log #16 Per. 3 16.) “Exile Eyes” FM 2/24 Agate is in Wisconsin in a beauty shop. She notices people were nice and there were a lot of refugees. She notices that the women were wearing repaired clothes and old shoes. She was afraid to look in the women’s eyes (exile eyes)...She mentions that cutting her hair was a way to make her more American. The owner waits patiently to cut each woman’s hair. She mentions women who have exile eyes. (Latvian survivors, Rwandan girls, Chilean woman doctor).
