2  A camel has humps, the one in Arabia has one hump, the one in East Asia has two humps. Those humps store water.  Camels are native to dry places like the desert.  Camels can go many days with out water in the desert.  A camels life span is 40-50 years.  Ancestors of camels evolved in Palaeogene Period.

3  Camels are domesticated in Somali region.  There is about 1000 Bactrian camels in the Gobi Desert.  Camels stand long periods without water because there red blood cell is a oval shape.  A camels coat reflects the sunlight.  Camels have been known for swimming.
