2 Field Operations Bureau 2 Current Strength: 756 Projected Strength: 1068 This will allow us to: ● Expand patrol strength beyond 353, to produce response times for Code 2 calls below 7 minutes. ● Add one task force and one narcotics squad per district. ● Restore District investigative staff to 2010 levels. ● Provide each District with officers dedicated solely to community policing. ● Restore Traffic Unit to 2010 levels. ● Fully staff Homeland Security unit. ● Accomplish all the above while providing close and effective supervision to officers, as required under the consent decree.

3 Investigative and Support Bureau 3 Current Strength: 168 Projected Strength: 240 Expanding ISB will enable us to: ● Staff Homicide at the recommended level of 32 detectives based upon DOJ assessment. ● Double Special Victims Section staffing to 27 detectives to meet recommendations of Mayor’s Task Force. ● Double size of Multi-Agency Gang Unit and Street Gang Unit. ● Restore other investigative units to 2010 levels, including Narcotics, Intelligence, HIDTA ● Re-constitute units that have been disbanded or are down to one officer due to staffing, including: ○ Auto theft/recovery ○ Digital forensics ○ Vice ○ Crime prevention ○ Forgery/Pawn ○ White collar crime

4 Management Services Bureau 4 Current Strength: 172 Projected Strength: 202 This will allow us to: ● Expand Academy staff to provide more training to officers and enhance the quality of training. ● Allow for continuous hiring of police recruits at stable level with attrition.

5 Superintendent’s Office 5 Current Strength: 14 Projected Strength: 20 This will allow us to: ● Enhance recruitment by increasing the number of dedicated background investigators and dedicating 2 officers to the Recruitment Unit.

6 Public Integrity Bureau 6 Current Strength: 29 Projected Strength: 55 This will allow us to: ● Account for additional workload created by expanding size of force. ● Increase proactive investigations by PIB.

7 Compliance Bureau 7 Current Strength: 12 Projected Strength: 15 This will allow us to: ● Minimal additional officers needed to accommodate expanding audit duties. Bureau growth will largely be in civilian personnel.
