4  Listening is the best way to show respect.  The goal is not so much to be loved, as it is to love.  By listening, do not prepare your defense.  What is the Motive behind our interaction with others?  “My idea is better than your idea.”  Think of a time where you used defense rather than listening. How could you have improved this situation?

5  First: Remember that one of the most important things you can do for someone is listen.  Second: We cannot be right all the time.  Third: Asking for forgiveness is essential!  Fourth: You cannot have relationships without time. time

6 THE AVERAGE DAD SPENDS: OVER A LIFETIME HE SPENDS:  40-50 hours a week working.  50 hours sleeping  5 hours dressing / showering  21 minutes with each child. (3 minutes a day.)  12 years working  25 years asleep  3 years getting dressed  11 days and 16 hours talking with each child

8  In your group, decide what your family roles are.  What is expected of each person?  What do you expect from yourself?  How would you improve the quality of the group?

9  What can you do personally in your family to improve the quality of the relationships?  How is listening a way to show respect?  Can you think of a time when your interaction with someone was driven by a motive?  Why is it important to ask for forgiveness?  What does T-I-M-E have to do with improving the quality of your relationships?

10  What have you learned?  How will this help you in your future?  Is there anything else you wanted to learn?
