ALL STUDENTS The open area computer rooms will be re-opened, with immediate effect; only senior students (S4-S6) will be allowed access to the computers during the exam leave period. Given that there have been some breaches of ‘respect’ in terms of litter from our junior students, the open areas will remain out of bounds to all S1-S3 students. The above arrangements will be reviewed in June.

Customer Service and Professional Barista Apprenticeships Starbucks Coffee Company (UK), Edinburgh Remit Training is recruiting 16 apprentice baristas for 8 different stores in the Edinburgh area on behalf of Starbucks. As a barista you could be serving and preparing coffee in café’s, restaurants, coffee bars and hotels. A barista will use a specialist coffee machine which produces espresso and will then turn this espresso into many different styles of coffee including; latte’s, cappuccino’s, macchiato and Americano’s. You will also prepare and serve other hot and cold drinks, as well as meals, snacks and cakes. As a barista you will be working within a team of other people but you will also have certain tasks to complete on your own. The skills gained through the barista training are combined with a customer service qualification. This is due to the integral part that customer service will play within this role.
