IUPUI Indianapolis, Indiana (local population: 800,000) Public, partner campus of Indiana University and Purdue University Enrollment: 30,000 (21,000 undergrad) Campus Center 260,000 Sq. Ft. over 5 floors (including basement) Groundbreaking September 30, 2005 Opened on January 7, 2008 Building hours during academic year: Monday – Friday7:00am – 10:00pm Saturday8:00am – 11:00pm Sunday12:00pm – 9:00pm Managed by the Campus Center Office (Division of Student Affairs) 11 general meeting rooms with seating between 20 -100 Boardroom with seating for 40 Dividable multipurpose room that can seat up to 900 lecture or 480 banquet

Challenges Requests by students for more study space in a building with limited social space Financial planning for maintenance crises Anticipated construction of supplemental Student Activity & Convocation Center and the impact (financially & programmatically) on the Student Center Justifying custodial expenses & staffing levels in LaFortune Student Center

Ft. 5 floors Originally constructed in 1953 Most recent addition/renovation in 2000 Academic year hours of operation: All floors open 24 hours Managed by Union and Student Activities (Division of Student Affairs) 18 meeting rooms (including 7,260 sq. ft. ballroom, 3,920 multi-purpose room and 385 seat auditorium) 2 art galleries

Challenges at the HUB-Robeson Center Space There are designs for an addition that would connect the HUB to the White Building (which is one of two recreation facilities on campus) HVAC Technology

Ft. 2 floors (plus basement for expansion) Construction began 2006 Officially opened January 4, 2009 (Grand Opening, January 31, 2009) Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday: 8:00am – midnight Friday-Saturday: 8:00am - 1:00am Sunday: 9:00am – midnight Computer Lab and Student Organization Suite (SOS) open 24 hours via card swipe Managed by Union Administration Office (Division of Student Affairs) 12 Meeting rooms plus 7,500 sq ft Ballroom
