What helps students succeed? Students are more likely to succeed if they: –Take the placement test –Place higher in English and math –Complete English and math classes in the first year –Took a PD 40 class –Receive a PELL grant

What will we learn in this class? 1. Sources of information and services on campus needed for success. 2. Strategies for success based on an assessment of their priorities, strengths, and needs. 3. Study skills strategies in all classes. 4. Educational plan. 5. Electronic and printed sources. 6. “time management” strategies.
