8 VIRTUAL MUSEUM OF EGYPT Room 2 Room 3 Room 4 Room 1 CURATOR INFORMATION Name of Museum The Great Pyramids show that Ancient Egypt was an important civilization because of three reasons. The first reason is the tools that the Ancient Egyptians used. They had hammers, copper drills, pickaxes, chisels, and saws and the hardest metal they had is copper. The second reason is how the cutted the stone. They cut the stone using wet sand to cut the stone while the blade of the saw applied the pressure. The last reason is how the Ancient Egyptians move the stones on land. They used water and mud to make the bottom of the sledge wet so that the sledge could slide along the rollers with the heavy rock on its back. The evidence above shows that Ancient Egypt was an important civilization. Body Paragraph Back to Room 2
