4. Apollo 20 Results HISD replaced 18 of the 20 Apollo 20 principals and reconstituted at least 50% of the teachers. Overall, the gains in the passing rate of students on the state standardized test across the 9 secondary schools in math and science out-paced the average district gain. The percentage of students scoring at the college-readiness indicator level in math (“commended”) increased by six percentage points from the prior year 1:2 tutoring of students at the 6 th and 9 th grades resulted in significant gains on state standardized tests. Student attendance rates were higher by at least.5 percentage points in 7 of the 9 secondary schools. 98% of all of the graduating seniors were accepted to a 2- or 4-year college or university.
