12. THE WEIMAR GOVERNMENT’S RESPONSE… The Gov. told all Germans in the Ruhr not to cooperate with the French. Everyone went on strike… But it felt it had to keep paying them. This cost a lot of money… … but the Gov. now had no income from the Ruhr… … so soon it ran out of real money…

14. CRISIS 2: HYPERINFLATION … after running out of money the Gov. simply printed more… … but people lost confidence in it and prices shot sky high… … by Nov 1923 the Germany currency was worthless and the German economy had collapsed
