Transatlantic Slave Trade Started with the Spanish Continued with each additional nation Over 10 million African slaves were brought across the Atlantic from 1518 to 1800 while only 2 to 2.5 million Europeans migrated to the New World during this period

The Columbian Exchange (Grand Exchange) Following years of separation the Old and New World became intertwined once again Occurred after Columbus’ arrival in the New World Cultural and biological exchange of ideas & goods Animal, plant and bacterial life of two world collided Had lasting effects on the world Some question if it was an unequal trade Why?
