2 page 8 Dorothy Gale lived in a small house in Kansas, with Uncle Henry, who was a farmer, and Aunt Em, who was the farmer’s wife. The house was very small. There was a small cellar under the house, because sometimes there were bad storms, and the family needed to hide in the cellar. What is a cellar? Houses are built on solid ground. So if it’s under the house, it’s underground. And people can hide in the cellar… Can it be something like this: Insert a picture of a cellar and add animation.

3 page 9 Just then, the house shook and a very strange thing happened. The wind lifted the house up into the air. the wind’s action pick up What does ‘lifted’ mean? What is the meaning of ‘exclaimed’? It comes after Dorothy’s speech so it should be a reporting verb like ‘shout’. That means, it tells us how the line is being said.
