Now, when I was a baby momma named me after the great civil war hero, General Nathan Bedford Forrest. She said we was related to him in some way. What he did was: he started up this club called the Ku Klux Clan. They'd all dress up in their robes and their bed sheets and act like a bunch of ghosts or spooks or something. They 'd even put bed sheets on their horses and ride around. And anyway, that's how I got my name: Forrest Gump.”

Mrs. Gump:She was a single mother, Gump was everything for her. She was willing to sacrifice everything to her son. Everyone scorned Gump, but she didn’t give up him. The most famous words she said to her son was, “Life is a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get.” It means everyone has his own way of life, we should believe that life is full of hope, just do it, never give up. When she was going to die, she told Gump that “It's my time. It's just my time. Oh. now, don't you be afraid sweetheart. Death is just a part of life.Something we are all destined to do.I didn't know it,but I was destined to be your momma.I did the best I could. ” She use this method to encourage his son. She was a great mother.

Bubba is a ordinary, industrious person. Like all black people, he has “the American dream”------ “ having a ship that fill the shrimp boats, the sea fill shrimp.” Bubba is Gump’s best friend, he constantly affected Gump. Although Bubba died in the Vietnam war, cannot go back and shrimp with Gump, but he has been in Gump’s heart and had sown the seeds of shrimp boat, And in the end Forrest Gump making a lot of money through the shrimp for daily expenses. But I prefer to think that Gump is in order to commemorate Bubba.
