2. Important Note You must know the wireless settings of your home/business network before making the following changes – IP address of your network gateway/DHCP server – SSID (name of the network) – Channel (frequency of the network) – Encryption (WPA, WPA2, Mixed mode) – Cipher (AES, TKIP, both) – Key (password of the wireless network) If these do not match up, the wireless repeater functionality will not work 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

3. Log in to the LINCWorks RDA or VAN Connect via unit’s Ethernet port – Wifi is also available however we will be changing SSIDs so Ethernet is preferred Open a browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 Login to the unit – The default password is to leave it blank – If changed please contact your LINCWorks reseller or IT professional 10/15/2014Olea Networks Confidential

4. Scroll to the Interfaces page Scroll over Networks and select Interfaces 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

5. Add a new interface Select ‘Add new interface’ 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

6. Name the new interface Name the interface wwan Change the protocol to DHCP client Select join the Master network Click Submit 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

7. Go to the Wifi page Scroll over Network and select Wifi 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

8. Add a new SSID Click Add next to radio0 as shown below This new SSID will have the same settings as your home/business wireless network 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

9. Fill in settings Copy all your home/business wireless network settings that you wrote down from slide 2 in this page Set the Mode to Client Hit Save and Apply and wait until it finishes applying 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

10. Go back to the Wifi page Return to the Network  Wifi page and edit the existing SSID 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

11. Uncheck the WWAN network Scroll down to the interface configuration and uncheck the WWAN box – The only thing selected should be LAN Hit Save and Apply 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

13. Edit the WWAN interface Click edit next to the created WWAN interface 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

14. Uncheck the bridge interfaces Select the Physical Settings tab Uncheck Bridge interfaces The only radio button selected should be your Wireless Network: Client Hit Save and Apply 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

17. Change the IP address of your device Change the IP address of the device to a different class than your home/business DHCP server – Ie. change to 192.168.8.1 if gateway/DHCP server address is 192.168.1.1 – This step requires you know which your network address which should have been done by slide 2 Hit Save and Apply 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

18. Login again using new IP address At this point you had been logging in at 192.168.1.1 Wait 30 seconds for the changes to be applied and then power cycle your device Type in the new address you entered in the previous slide and log back in 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

19. Go to the firewall page Scroll over Network and select Firewall 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

20. Edit the WAN firewall zone Click Edit next to the WAN firewall zone 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

21. Change WAN settings Change the settings to the below – Input : reject – Output : accept – Forward : reject Check the box next to wwan Hit Save and Apply 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

25. Power cycle the LINCWorks product Turn the power off, leave off for 5-10 seconds, then turn the power back on – With the RDA this is as simple as turning the green switch – With the VAN you will need to unplug the power cable 10/15/2014Olea Confidential

26. Check that you are online At this point you should be online The RDA itself will retrieve an IP address from your DHCP server – However it will function as a DHCP server to all connected devices – For example, the RDA may be given an IP address of 192.168.1.24 by your home network but any devices connected to the RDA will get IP addresses in the range of 192.168.4.100-.254 Any device connected to the RDA will be able to see the home/business gateway but a device connected to the home/business Wifi will not be able to see the RDA 10/15/2014Olea Confidential
