Environmental Requirements 4 Environmental Management Policy (3 Points) Company’s environmental policy (Integrated or Non-integrated) Environmental Policy must Commit to Compliance to all relevant Environmental Legislation/ Laws, Pollution Prevention and Continual Improvement. Does the policy include a commitment to continual improvement and the prevention of pollution Environmental policy must be signed-off by the company senior member (MD/CEO)?

Environmental Requirements 5 Environmental Aspects Are the organisations aspects and impacts identified for the project in question? Are the activities that can have a significant impact identified?

Environmental Requirements 6 Legal and Other Requirements Are the legal requirements for aspects identified? Has the organisation identified other (Eskom procedures) requirements to which it subscribes to? Has the organisation determined how these requirements apply to their identified aspects? Objectives and Targets Does the organisation have objectives and targets in an effort to mitigate its identified significant aspects? Are the objectives and targets measurable? Environmental Requirements 7 Resources, Roles and Responsibility Does management ensure resources (human, technological, financial) for achieving effective environmental management? Has the organization appointed a resource for Environmental Management Competence, Training and Awareness Has the organization identified training needs for its employees? Have representatives of the organization attended Eskom Environmental Legislation Course? Provide Certificate as Proof. Have representatives of the organization attended Eskom Environmental Authorisation/Environmental Management Plan Course? Provide attendance register as proof.

Approved Templates Unique Identifiers for documentation Revision of Documentation Page numbering etc. 8 Emergency Preparedness and Response Has the organisation established an environmental emergency preparedness plan for its significant environmental risks? Do you have a plan in place for environmental emergencies such as Oil Spills Bees, Wasps, Snakes Cement Spill

Environmental Requirements Non-Conformity, Corrective Action and Response Does the organisation have a procedure on how to manage non-conformances 9 Operational deviations from environmental procedures, requirements and standards shall be managed using non-conformance system. The NCR system must allow for documented corrective and preventative action There must be a tracking system used
