2 Outcome By the end of this presentation, High School Principals will have an opportunity to provide input on the CGR Process prior to training and implementation

3 Why is a CGR Process Needed? Strategic Goal-Annually graduate 95% of our students Review of data indicated over 350 students with unknown exit codes counted against the District’s graduation rate A survey of high schools revealed the need for a consistent process

5 Proposed CGR Process Schools designate Cohort Graduation Rate Point of Contact and Team (June) Ideally a team will be in place before the July/August Trainings Strongly consider the Principal/Designee, Dean, Data Manager, Registrar, SAP/Social Worker

6 Proposed CGR Process Receive and maintain CGR Notebooks based on identified requirements (June/ongoing) As part of the enrollment process, verify the initial 9th grade entry date and the expected graduation date (ongoing) Input daily number of “no shows” students into the Google Doc (1st - 20th day)

7 CGR Process D&A provides CGR Preview Spreadsheets to high schools in Oasis (Quarterly) Using the CGR Preview Spreadsheet, create a separate spreadsheet identifying students who have exited from the cohort, including the reason for their exit Documentation about students’ exits should be maintained in the CGR notebooks

8 CGR Process CGR Support Team reviews CGR notebooks at randomly selected high schools (Quarterly) D&A will provide final CGR spreadsheet for graduating cohort (May) Schools will update and submit to D&A exit codes for graduating cohort based on spreadsheets (June)

9 CGR Process Progress Monitoring Checklist submitted to Principals ensuring that all procedures have been followed (June/July) Principal’s Approval Form for Cohort Graduation Roster Verification Submitted to D&A (Mid July) D & A will submit final rosters to NCDPI (July)
