EE Central Taxonomy EE Central provided BPA and the RTF the opportunity to recreate how measures are structured and reported Taxonomy structure will be applied to the current measure table within the Procost workbook Goals: – Create a consistent structure for reporting  Sector, end use, measures – Create consistency in naming – Create consistency in how measures are shown in EE Central

B O N N E V I L L E P O W E R A D M I N I S T R A T I O N 7 Developing the Taxonomy BPA and RTF staff first examined the current PTR measure structure – Current structure lacks business rules – Current structure lacks standardized naming conventions BPA started from the ground up to develop a more consistent measure structure – Developed new taxonomy that contains the attributes and savings of the current measure taxonomy, in a more organized and consistent manner. – Tested the current PTR measures in the new taxonomy – Template is structured so that concatenation of attributes will create a unique measure name

For those who develop measures: – standardized format, order, concatenation, naming convention and business rules For people who report into EE Central – Measures will be easier to locate – Queries will be more user friendly and accurate – Roll up of measures will ensure data accuracy (account for bundled measures, program affiliation, etc.)
