About 80,000 children are born in WA each year Kids who will be in kindergarten in 2020 are already born (September 2014 - August 2015) About 45% of entering kindergartners are assessed as “ready” in all domains About 2,000 families are enrolled in state-funded home visiting About 11,000 kids are enrolled in ECEAP About 75% of kids under age 5 are in the care of family, friends and neighbors

How do we ensure the activities focus on families furthest from opportunity? What are the pathways for caregivers to expand their knowledge/awareness and assert leadership at the family, community, regional level?

Goals Support new partnerships and engagement opportunities that meet the needs of families furthest from opportunity Create pathways for families to take leadership roles in informing programs and policies, locally, regionally and statewide
