2. Aims of the conference  to provide options that will help delegates to consider the impact of cultures within schools on staff well-being and sustainable school improvement. To deepen our understanding at an individual and organisational level of what may be inhibiting factors in establishing a healthy sustainable culture that secures whole school emotional health and well-being  To make the links to HS/ SEAL/ RR and enabling a workforce to secure the out comes of ECM/Children’s Plan by identify how existing strategies can help deliver action and outcomes for securing a effective climate for securing staff well-being and driving pupil progress.

Healthy Schools – whole school approach – H Staff professional needs, health and welfare Staff are consulted on their training and support needs through a regular review process A range of relevant professional development opportunities is offered including subject knowledge and teaching skills, eg: team teaching, peer coaching and lesson observation time Non contact time is provided to allow for planning, delivery and evaluation of healthy school activities

Healthy Schools – whole school approach – H Staff professional needs, health and welfare - continued Staff are given the opportunity to share information, learning and experience with other schools and visit them to gain support and knowledge of good practice The staff room and working areas provide a positive environment for staff School to consider IiP framework to enable more focussed and effective identification, planning and evaluation of training and development for school staff Arrangements are in place for appropriate occupational health advice and support
