First battle: solely intrinsic; divine intervention; easy success. Second battle: combination of intrinsic and extrinsic; less divine intervention; more difficult for good to conquer evil. Third battle: solely extrinsic; no divine intervention until Wiglaf (intrinsic reasons enters into the battle) and conquers evil.
