Concept for managing a country’s borders more effectively and efficiently Common approach that involves ALL relevant border services In practice it means COOPERATING, COORDINATING, COMMUNICATING & PROVIDING MUTUAL ASSISTANCE at: National level - within a service/ministry; between all services; with non-state actors International level - between countries, services and international organisations
