2 How would you suggest we, as a nation, provide consistent learning opportunities for teachers and ensure that they are not left behind in learning about new techniques and strategies?

3 How can they? School Accreditation Boards need to ensure that universities are providing instruction about relevant current trends and researched based information online and in brick and mortar schools Mandate meaningful training directly connected to the field in which they work. Provide funding for free and discounted workshops Offer desirable stipends to teachers Provide opportunities for teachers to observe a variety of schools that are providing useful innovative instruction

4 Should all teachers across the country use certain practices? If so, what would those be?

5 Practices Networking with other teachers Technology based classroom Integration of research-based practices with application that takes place in school, home and community

6 Should there be a consistent standard for all teachers to meet, just as students must pass high stakes tests? If so, what would be the standard?

7 Teacher Standard Scored by Administrative Panel Detailed record of lessons and rationale for teaching lessons Documentation of individual student’s progress and interventions Examination of strategies used, outcomes and alterations to academic and support plans Usage of variety of assessments Review of classroom management, observations of implementation, and feedback Student survey would be incorporated in Teacher Standard Score. Evidence of the usage of information in the classroom gained in training Documentation of collaboration

9 Impact of NETS-T Standard Teachers are being well trained to use NETS-T standard. They are being taught to guide instead of mandate learning. These standards are leading teachers to expose students to a variety of learning experiences. It promotes interest and flexibility with learning.
