4. Few lines on the history of the building (Maironis str. 27) The building was built in 1912, following the project of an architect Michail Prozorov. The style is: modernized classicism. At a time the building was the only one in Kaunas that had centralized heating. At first a building served as a Russian state bank; later on as Kaunas subsidiary of German bank.

5. Few lines on the history of the building (Maironis str. 27) From 1919 other state institutions of the independent Lithuanian state were hosted by the building. Ground floor hosted Ministry of Finances and Central Post Office. First floor hosted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cabinet of Ministers. Also, the building hosted the Council of State. Here the Council of State elected Mr. A. Smetona to serve as a President

Few lines on the history of the building (Maironis str. 27) From 1944 to 1990 the building hosted the School of Militia From 1991 here a special higher Police school operated. 1997 Lithuanian Law Academy operated here. From 2007 the Faculty (of Police) of Mykolas Romeris University, for the last several years: The Faculty of Public Security of Mykolas Romeris University operate here
