11 Possible motivating factors for Japan’s environmental efforts…. Small country and fewer resources, but many people Factories are located close to residential areas Has few places to bury or burn trash Reliance on imported resources which cost a lot High population density Environmental destruction and pollution affect people very much. The lack of places to dispose waste became a very big issue. It is essential to use resources efficiently and repeatedly. It is easy and doesn’t cost so much to gather trash for recycling and reuse. Awareness of and action for environmental issues expanded quickly in Japan Recycle or Reuse is economically possible and beneficial
