2.  Cover Letter: Please word process a paper that summarizes what you have learned this year. In this document, you should identify what is your favorite part of science, what is your least favorite part of science and why. We have learned a lot in science this year. I made a stop motion video on killer whales. I learned all about their feeding habits and how they live. I learned how make a color contour map of the Atlantic Ocean. I also had a quiz on the rock cycle. I learned about Earth’s Major Spheres. We also learned all about the periodic table of elements and all of the elements. We learned about chemical changes. We also learned how to draw an atom. My favorite project was the project where we had to pick a place we would want to live later in life. I picked Mackinac Island and I learned all about it. My least favorite part was when we learned about matter. It was not something I was interested in.

3.  Skills & Effort Description: On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) rate yourself on your ability to complete all the assignments for class. Why? (things like, time spent on assignments outside of class, time and effort spent studying for quizzes/tests) I would probably rate myself a 5 because I feel like I spend a lot of time outside of school. I do my labs and study and read from the science textbook outside of school.

4.  On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) rate yourself on your class time effort & positive contributions to class discussion(s). Why? I would probably rate myself a 4 because I could participate more in our class discussions after we watch a Ted Talks or a Science Friday.

5.  On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) rate yourself on your ability to work with others in class. Why? I would rate myself a 5. I usually do projects by myself so that I can just get it done in class and at home. I can work with people, I just prefer to work alone.

6.  On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) Describe/list steps you will take to improve upon your performance for next quarter/year. Why?  I have gotten fairly good grades in science. I will write in my planner, and study more for quizzes. I will also make sure I read everything in the book. I would rate myself a 4 because I could do better.

7.  On a scale of 1-5 (5 being the best) Has your performance in Science this year been improving, getting worse, or staying the same? Can you explain why this may be the case? I started off with a decent grade but since then have had very good grades. I would rate myself a 5 because I have improved. I think this is because I just had to get in to the hang of school.
