7. We Must Not Be Like The World Romans 12:1-2 We live in the world and must defend against its influence Jesus warned against worldliness (Matt. 13:22) John warned against worldliness (1 John 2:15-17) Loving the world can be disastrous (2 Tim. 4:10)

8. We Must Be Committed To The Word Acts 20:32 Such a commitment will safeguard those in the faith (re. Acts 20:29-30) Such a commitment will save those who will believe it (Acts 11:14)
