ClassworkFriday 10th October 2014 Bags under desks No drinks bottles near electrical equipment Log on to the School Computer System Log into Office 365 Go into our Sites page Now stop and Listen! Todays Learning Objective; Using Spreadsheets in Office 365 We are going to; Further develop our knowledge and understanding of Spreadsheets Have a go at creating our own Spreadsheet table and chart/graph Use some of the Formula functions within the Spreadsheet Save a copy of the Spreadsheet document in our own OneDrive Reflect on our learning in our Sandymoor Office 365 Blog

4 Using formula Functions - Autosum Highlight the cell that you want the answer to appear in From the FORMULAS drop down menu choose Sum Highlight and drag down the column to be added together Then press ENTER on the keyboard The total of the sum will then appear in the cell

5 Using formula Functions – Maximum Highlight the cell that you want the answer to appear in From the FORMULAS drop down menu choose Max Highlight and drag down the column to find the Maximum value Then press ENTER on the keyboard The Maximum number in the list will then appear in the cell You can perform a Minimum and Average calculation by following the same process

6 Now you have a go…  Go to our Sandymoor Sites Page  Click on Student, Courses Foundation 1 or 2 (which ever you are)  Click on STEM, Technology F1 or F2  Locate the Resources section on the right hand side of the screen  Click on my Spreadsheets folder  Click on the Karting document

7 Work your way through the Task 1a, 1b and 2…  Task 1a  Use the information provided to create your own Spreadsheet Table  Remember to set up, Column Names and Row Names  Then enter you data using the information  Task 1b  Now use your created table to insert a Chart or Graph into the spreadsheet  Use the help sheet tab in the document to help you do this  Task 2  Now use your table again to perform the SUM, MAXIMUM, MINIMUM AND AVERAGE calculations

8 Once you have finished…  Use FILE and SAVE AS, to save a copy of the document to your own OneDrive in your IT folder  Please complete a Lesson Reflection comment in our Office 365 Blog before next weeks lesson!!
