Native Americans It is believed that Native Americans originally came from Asia during the ice age. They followed animals looking for food across a land bridge to North America. The Native Americans were most likely the first Americans.

Spanish In 1492 Columbus found the Americas by accident. Some Spaniards stayed in the Americas from this voyage, others came later. The largest Spanish colonies are in Mexico, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and islands in the Caribbean Sea.
