3 Hamlet, the prince of Denmark tragedy from tragic period philosophical questions „To be or not to be; that is the question.“ 2 parts of Hamlet's behaviour– serious, reasonable x madness „Something is rotten in the state of Denmark“ „There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.“

4 Plot set in Denmark Hamlet, the son of the late king of Denmark, learns the truth about his father's death from father's ghost. To make sure he pretends madness and checks the theory through the play and actors. There he sees, that it is truth. The King (his uncle and murderer) decides to destroy Hamlet and sends him to England to have him killed. But Hamlet returns and revenges the death of his father. The play ends. Hamlet, his mother, the king and other die.
