In this project you are going to design and make your own mask!!!!!! Will it represent a respected ancestor, perhaps an important warrior chief, the animal world or an important god or goddess? Work creatively and imaginatively. Consider carefully the shapes, pattern and motifs you use as these will show the characteristics of the mask. Once you have drawn your mask, use collage to add colour and texture.

HOMEWORK Using the Internet find a mask that really appeals to you. Copy onto an A4 document and answer the following: 1.Where is it from? 2.What is it used for? 3.What does it mean? 4.How is it made? 5.Why do I like it? Present your research in your workbook. Include a detailed drawing of the mask as well
