Teach the children the physical actions for the signs. Read out first sentence. (there is a list in the book, but the sentences in here are made up and you can add more.) Give children 10 secs to work out punctuation then ask children for first punctuation (action + “HUH!”) etc. The PowerPoint will put in the punctuation as you click so you can see what their action would produce. Signs needing 2 actions e.g. ? need “HUH! HUH!” as they do the two actions.
