Cush fathered Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the Lord.” The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. From that land he went into Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and Resen, between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city. Moses, Ge. 10:8-12

“The twin sons of Nimrod, Hunor and Magor, each with one hundred warriors, followed the White Stag through the Meotis Marsh and disappeared from sight. Hunor and Magor found the daughters of King Dul of Alans, whom they kidnapped, and their descendants became the Huns and the Magyars.” Procopius, AD 565

The ideal visitor is… already a Christian, speaks Hungarian, preaches, leads songs, evangelizes, cleans, etc. Furthermore, he wants to join this church Just as every Christian is less than ideal, every visitor is less than ideal

To some Christians… the ideal visitor would be a clone of themselves –Those who are not clones are mistreated, Gal. 2:11-14 –Think of all your faults. –Visit the visitors!

An ideal visitor will… on their first visit, believe, confess, repent, and be baptized, eg. Ac. 16:30-33 –Some visit for years before converting –Some visit for the wrong reason Mt. 5:14-15, lights Phlp. 1:15-18, …in this I rejoice –Principle: take what you can get –Application: preach to any who listen

A recently converted visitor will… ideally, join this church and never leave it. –Many left the Jerusalem church, Ac. 8:1-4 This didn’t affect what the church in Jerusalem did. –Some left the Lord (Ananias and Sapphira) Mt. 13:3-9
