Department responsibilities established by ALPA Admin Manual, Section 15, Part 2: – The Information Systems and Services Department, as directed by the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee (ITAC), pursuant to Article X, Section 6 of the ALPA Constitution and By-Laws, is responsible for the planning, design, analysis, operation, and support of the Association’s computer and data systems. All requests for data information, computer equipment, network access, and program changes must be processed through the Department to ensure the integrity and security of the Association’s data systems. Access to and use of ALPA’s computer and data systems is subject to the policies established in the ALPA Administrative Manual.

ALPA IT Policies Section 015 ALPA Administrative Policies PART 2 - COMPUTERS AND DATA BASE POLICIES addresses a number of issues concerning physical security of computers and ALPA database information specifically detailing hardware requirements, privacy, and password use within the Association. This section also covers ALPA supported applications as well as ALPA computer use and software piracy. PART 3 - INFORMATION AND DATA BASE POLICIES concerns specialized information requests which require customized programming by Systems Development. PART 2 - COMPUTERS AND DATA BASE POLICIES PART 3 - INFORMATION AND DATA BASE POLICIES Section 025 Communications Public Relations and Education PART 1 - COMMUNICATIONS POLICY, Sub-section E addresses policy as it relates to Internet and Webboards access, setup, use, and maintenance. Sub-sections G and H deal with Aspen and ALPA.org email subscription and usage. PART 5 - PRINTING AND MAILING POLICY Sub-section B deals with setup and use of ALPA email lists commonly referred to as AMES (ALPA Mass Email Service). PART 1 - COMMUNICATIONS POLICY, Sub-section E Sub-sections G and H PART 5 - PRINTING AND MAILING POLICY Sub-section B Section 060 Accounting and Finance Paragraph K(8) - Telecommunications addresses telephone, wireless, Internet access and Aspen expenses.
