FOCUS ON RAISING STANDARDS Since January we have focused on raising standards in the sixth form. This has included: Working to improve attendance, Jess Andrews in her role has focused on this. (currently stands at 91.1% compared to 87.7% last year & 87.4% 2013/14) We have introduced supervised study periods and put these on to the timetables on students who we have identified as requiring extra support. Raised expectations in regard to behaviour. Highlighted the importance homework & the amount of work students are expected to complete outside of their timetabled lessons. There has been an emphasis on the common room being used as an additional study area during lesson time. Smartened up the dress code for students. Students are expected in school for registration and work in school throughout the morning even if they do not have timetabled lessons.
