5 Proposed re-structure of DEC Meetings  1 st session, Sunday:  Reports – submitted 1 month prior to meeting, questionnaire format, to focus on key DEC issues and provide input for TC meetings  In-depth discussion of 3-4 key issues identified from reports (DEC, DEC economy, TC Chair, EC/Secretariat, BIPM/CIPM, PTB, etc)  DEC participation in TC meetings, Monday:  Mechanisms to enhance input from DEC economies:  “DEC Champion”  DEC Directors to collect all technical issues before and after meetings and ensure submission to TCs. TC Chairs to ensure responses forwarded to DENs.  DEC agenda item/TCx-DEC Workshop – including scheduling between TCs to avoid overlap if possible (at least for key technical areas)  2 nd session, Tuesday:  Workshop – parallel sessions for 2 groups focused at each level of development within DEC membership  Either combined with TCx OR DEC-specific to look at issues at management level (strategic planning, resourcing of metrology activities, stakeholder and customer engagement, needs identification and analysis, EC or BIPM/CIPM- related, etc)  Reporting back by TC Chairs re: DEC-related TC discussions/proposals

6 Proposed re-structure of DEC Meetings  “Interim” DEC meeting  Associated with EC-TC Chairs AND  TC-DEC Workshop activity (where appropriate)  Additional activities:  Awareness-raising Symposium/event – DEC economies guidance re: how to best address needs  Visit to decision-makers  Industry / laboratory visits OR use opportunity to seek expert advice from TC Chairs on specific technical issues  Other suggestions?
